The Global Wellness Forum attended and gave public testimony in Tallahassee during the environmental committee’s hearing of SB56, introduced by Senator Ileana Garcia, a bill that seeks to prohibit and criminalize weather activity in the state of Florida.

This critical bill would prohibit and criminalize any form of weather modification, including cloud seeding, aerosol spraying, and other atmospheric interventions that disperse chemicals, biologic bacteria, and other elements into the environment with the intent to modify the weather or control or dim the sun.

The bill has been voted favorably out of multiple committee hearings on the Senate side. There is great momentum behind this bill, but it still has a long way to go. We need the bill to be heard next on the House side and urge all Floridians to take action by urging their reps to support this bill.
